MARIAN MILLER

Marian was born and raised on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and draws much her inspiration from spending summers at the beach, family heirlooms and the stories about them. During her studies to become an art therapist at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, Marian discovered metalwork. She studied both jewelry and New Mexico Tin-working at Santa Fe Community College and the Taos School of Metalsmithing. She furthered her studies as an apprentice to a jeweler and by attending classes at Penland School of Craft, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and the New Approach School for Jewelers. Marian spent a year as a resident artist at Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft in Columbia, North Carolina. Currently she maintains her studio in Santa Fe.
