MUERTE Y VIDA (DEATH & LIFE)

We put a call out to each of our artist looking for jewelry and art related to the theme of death or the concept of mortality. This could be as literal as skull imagery or as subjective as a personal memory of a deceased loved one. We also welcomed unique philosophical approaches to the human experience and beyond.
Muerte Y Vida will run from October 21st to November 21st, with an opening reception on November 1st, which coincides with Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Old Town Albuquerque. During this holiday, the entire plaza celebrates and honors the dead. We will participate in the celebration by featuring an art show that explores the theme of life and death. For those who may not be familiar with the holiday, it is a Mexican tradition that honors loved ones who have passed away.
